(DES MOINES) – The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) has designated 16 lenders and one Realtor® as its 2026 Preferred Partners. These professionals serve as trusted advocates for Iowa homebuyers, completing specialized training to help buyers access IFA’s mortgage, down payment and closing cost assistance programs.

Through IFA’s statewide network of lenders and Realtors®, thousands of Iowans gain access to affordable financing options each year. In fiscal year 2025 alone, more than 2,900 Iowans purchased homes with the help of IFA programs, which included nearly $23 million in down payment assistance.
Preferred Partners stand out for their commitment to excellence. Beyond serving as reliable community resources, they complete additional training and pledge to uphold the highest standards in guiding homebuyers through the process.
“Helping Iowans achieve homeownership is at the heart of what I do,” said Jessica Greving, loan officer at Residential Mortgage Network in Iowa City.
I’ve had the privilege of guiding hundreds of families through IFA programs and being recognized as a Preferred Lender is an honor. I look forward to helping even more Iowans reach the milestone of owning a home in the year ahead.
That impact is clear for new homeowners across the state. “Without the guidance of my lender and the IFA programs, I wouldn’t be a homeowner today,” said Aleah Vaske, who purchased her first home in Des Moines. “They helped me understand my options and made the process feel possible.”
Iowa homebuyers can learn more about available programs and eligibility at IowaFinance.com/WelcomeHome. A quick precheck tool helps determine potential eligibility, and buyers can easily connect with a participating lender to take the next step.
Eligible Iowa lenders and Realtors® in good standing with IFA were invited to apply for the Preferred designation and participate in the annual training at the HousingIowa Conference earlier this month.
