The Outdoor Recreation Task Force was established to make recommendations to advance outdoor recreation in Iowa.
On June 8, 2026, Gov. Kim Reynolds signed Executive Order 19 establishing the group, whose membership reflects the diversity of Iowaβs outdoor recreation stakeholders, including tourism leaders, conservation professionals, community representatives and private-sector partners.
The task force will convene a series of facilitated meetings and submit a final list of recommendations to the governor by early October 2026. Notices of meeting for the Outdoor Recreation Task Force are posted on this page at least 24 hours before the start time of the meeting.
