Iowa Title Guaranty provides Iowa homeowners peace of mind by offering the ALTA 49 series forgery endorsements as an optional coverage addition to the Owner’s Certificate. This affordable layer of security is available to new and existing homeowners to safeguard one of their most valuable assets.
Through this coverage, ITG will provide no-cost legal defense and cover related expenses if deed theft occurs and the title must be defended.
The deed theft protection is available in two forms:
- New Homebuyers, issued at the time of purchase, protecting buyers if someone later impersonates them and fraudulently transfers or encumbers the property.
- Existing Homebuyers, offering the same forward-looking protection to current homeowners seeking added security.
Both endorsements are offered at a flat fee of $175.
