Certified Local Government Program Guide

This guide is for existing Certified Local Governments (CLG) to maintain good standing in the CLG program. In Iowa, we are lucky to have approximately ninety governments participating in CLG program. Each local government that has worked to become a CLG has taken a key step towards protecting historic resources within your community. The State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) is here to help encourage and support your Historic Preservation Commission and the local government in their future preservation efforts.
