Creative Aging Foundations Training with Lifetime Arts

The Iowa Arts Council, which exists within the Iowa Economic Development Authority (the IEDA), is partnering with Lifetime Arts to offer Creative Aging Foundations Training for a cohort of teaching artists and organizations interested in bringing arts programming to Iowa’s older adult population.

The full day, in-person professional development opportunity will take place on Thursday, February 4th, 2027 in Des Moines, Iowa. Organizations may apply for up to two representatives to attend the training.

Lifetime Arts’ signature team-based learning experience is designed for professionals who want to deepen their skills and grow alongside peers. In this highly interactive, customized cohort training, participants will build a shared language around creative aging while strengthening facilitation and program design skills. Together with the cohort, participants will explore practical tools, proven frameworks, and real-world strategies, preparing them to design and lead impactful, outcomes-driven creative aging programs to serve older adults in their communities.

Participants will also receive a free one-year membership to The Creative Aging Collaborative for continued learning and peer connection.
