Expanding the Use of Alternative Fuels

The Clean Cities program coordinated at Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) is a designated member of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities program.

The Clean Cities program works to advance the nation’s economic, environmental and energy security by building partnerships to advance affordable domestic transportation fuels and technologies.

Adoption of alternative and renewable fuels, idle-reduction measures and advanced vehicle technologies is encouraged through this program.
