The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Interior issued a waiver of Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) procurement requirements for Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) effective December 20, 2024 to December 19, 2027. The waiver applies to all components for the first two years. In the third year, BABAA requirements will apply to the AMI meter housings, while the waiver will continue to apply to all other components.
The Iowa Finance Authority administers the State Revolving Fund (SRF) in partnership with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources. The SRF assists communities with the costs of upgrading or constructing public wastewater and drinking water infrastructure projects.
