Monique is a single parent raising her own child and recently became the guardian of her nephew. When she came to HOME Inc., she was juggling all parental responsibilities on her own and was delinquent on her rent. She had a job, but the hours weren’t enough to cover her expenses. Since joining the program, supported in part by the Iowa Finance Authority, Monique has been able to pick up additional work hours. With rent assistance, she has paid off bills and tickets and even established a savings account, gaining financial stability and hope for the future.
