Real Iowa homebuyer stories connect aspiring buyers with mortgage and down payment assistance
DES MOINES — The Iowa Finance Authority (IFA) today received a national award from the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) for its homeownership marketing, which uses real Iowa homebuyer stories to inspire prospective buyers and connect them with lenders and resources. The award was announced at NCSHA’s Annual Conference in Detroit in the Communications: Integrated Campaign category.
Through short videos and photos, Iowa homeowners share how they overcame obstacles, navigated the buying process and used IFA mortgage and down payment assistance programs to purchase their homes.
“Homeownership can change a family’s future, and we are grateful to the Iowa homeowners who are willing to share what that journey has meant to them,” said IFA Director Debi Durham. “Their stories help other Iowans see what is possible and build the confidence to take the next step toward homeownership.”
