The Iowa DNR will host a virtual stakeholder meeting on June 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM to discuss draft updates for the second set of prioritized chapters within the Wastewater Facilities Design Standards (IWFDS).
This session follows the phased approach initiated in June 2025 and builds upon the feedback received during our November 2025 focus group for Chapters 6 and 8B.
Discussion Details:
- A technical overview of the proposed alignment between rule text and technical data.
- Facilitated breakout sessions to gather stakeholder input on the practical application of the new standards.
- Ensuring the updated rules provide the flexibility and clarity requested during our strategic visioning process.
