The Iowa Finance Authority is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Water Quality Financing Program, a revolving loan fund created in 2018 to support projects that improve water quality across the state. This program provides critical financing for initiatives that address both point source and nonpoint source water quality challenges, with priority given to collaborative efforts that deliver measurable impact.

Eligible applicants include municipalities, landowners, public utilities, rural water districts, and industries required by the Nutrient Reduction Strategy to collect data and evaluate alternatives for reducing nitrogen and phosphorus discharges.

Applications must be submitted by March 31, 2026, and all application materials and supporting resources can be found on the Water Quality Financing Program webpage.
