Moving Forward with Wastewater Rule (Wastewater Design Standards) Updates
We're continuing the process of updating the Wastewater Design Standards following the completion of the Executive Order 10 (EO10) process.
As many of you know, we hosted a discussion in June 2025 to update you on the Wastewater Design Standards. During that meeting, we outlined a commitment to a phased approach, updating one or more chapters each year. Based on stakeholder feedback from the post-meeting poll, Chapters 6 and 8B were identified as the top priority for this next round of updates.
We've compiled comments received during the EO10 process and other communications to create an initial draft of updates for Chapters 6 and 8B.
We now invite you to review these preliminary changes and participate in a virtual discussion to provide your input, feedback, and suggestions.
- What: Discussion on Draft Updates to Wastewater Design Standards Chapters 6 & 8B
- When: November 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM (Central Time)
- Where: Virtual via Zoom (information below)
- Format: The virtual discussion will begin with a technical overview of the draft changes. Following the overview, attendees will participate in small group breakout rooms. These rooms will be facilitated to ensure an effective discussion where you can provide detailed thoughts and identify opportunities for additional changes to Chapters 6 and 8B.
Registration is preferred to help the Department ensure we have enough facilitators for the breakout room discussions.
