IFA partners with individuals across its programs to elevate real stories that demonstrate the impact of housing and community development efforts across Iowa.
What Selected Participants Will Provide
Selected participants will be asked to submit:
- Two short videos (each under one minute)
- Five high-quality photos
- Permission for IFA to use the content and story in future promotional and communications efforts
What Selected Participants Will Receive:
- $400 for their time and content contributions, once approved by IFA.
Application Process
A short application must be completed at the link below no later than January 26. This form is completed by the program partner on behalf of the individual.
IFA will review submissions and select a limited number of stories to feature in this year’s Annual Report and related promotional efforts.
Process requirements vary slightly by program to ensure a smooth and appropriate experience for all participants.
Program-Specific Participation Details
Homeownership and Beginning Farmer Programs
Approved individuals will:
- Enter into a content creator agreement directly with IFA
- Submit content and receive payment directly from IFA
Federal Housing Tax Credit, HOME Program, State Housing Trust Fund, Homelessness Programs and Project-Based Section 8
For these programs:
- IFA partner organizations (such as developers, property managers, Local Housing Trust Funds, Habitat affiliates or homeless service agencies) will:
- Identify one or more individuals with a compelling story to share
- Confirm the individual’s willingness to participate
- Submit the application on the individual’s behalf (no limit on submissions)
- Partners benefit from recognition and the opportunity to help advocate for the success and impact of housing programs statewide
- If selected:
- IFA will enter into a content creator agreement with the partner organization
- Payments will be made to the partner organization, which will distribute funds to the individual in a manner deemed most appropriate by the organization
